Neto speaks to youth players who will play in the senior squad next season. [via Chapecoense Twitter]
This is a new series of article that I’m doing for own personal interest. Image of the week will, surprisingly, be where I display my favourite image from the world of football for said week.

This week, the image comes courtesy of Chapecoense’s social media accounts. I personally found this version on their Twitter page.

In this incredibly powerful image, Neto, survivor of the tragic crash that took the lives of so many of his teammates, is speaking to some of the club’s youth players, who have been promoted to play for the first team next season.

It’s an emotionally powerful photo, and Chape’s own tweet said it best.

“A picture can speak a thousand words.”

 Translation of the tweet:

“A picture is worth a thousand words … Neto with base athletes who went up pro.”
